Manu Ginobli is considered one of the best sixth men in NBA history, and was one of the key reasons why the San Antonio Spurs became a standout franchise in the league.
Playing alongside Tim Duncan and Tony Parker, the Argentine took the team to another level under the tutelage of Gregg Popovich.
The shooting guard, now 44 years of age, was the soul of a team that won four championships (2003, 2005, 2007, 2014).
He was also a two-time All-Star, two-time All-NBA Third Team and Sixth Man of the Year winner in 2008.
As a result the Spurs retired his No.20 in April after it was announced he would be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Another milestone for Ginobli
The Argentine has another honour to add to his resume thanks to NBA Stats and StatsMuse.
They recently revealed Ginobli is the player with the highest winning percentage in NBA history, 72.1 percent – the top for players with at least 1,000 games played.
That puts him ahead of names like Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson and even former teammates Duncan and Parker, and is a fitting reward for a player who never lacked humility.
“I never won a top scorer title, nor an MVP, nor was I ever elected to the first team,” said Ginobli.
“I’m here because of my environment. The players I played with, the coaches and the organization.
“I don’t take it as an individual achievement. I was in the right place at the right time.”
