After stepping down as CEO of WWE, Vince McMahon officially announced his retirement from the company on July 22.
The news comes amid an ongoing investigation into McMahon, who paid 14.6 million in hush money to several women who alleged sexual misconduct between 2006 and 2022.
The four women, all of whom were under contract to WWE, signed agreements that prohibit them from discussing potential lawsuits or their relationships with the 77-year-old.
After a lifetime with the company, the question now is, what will happen to WWE? Well, there’s a rather simple solution.

Prior to his retirement, Vince appointed his daughter, Stephanie McMahon, as interim CEO and chairman of the board.
Stephanie will assume CEO responsibilities on a permanent basis, alongside her husband former wrestler Triple H.

Vince is also under investigation by the WWE board of directors after they were tipped off he paid a former employee 3 million dollars to keep quiet about their affair.
According to reports, McMahon hired her as a paralegal and then doubled her salary once the affair began.
“The Wall Street Journal has published a report about WWE with allegations that we and our Board of Directors take seriously,” read a statement by the company.
“We are cooperating fully with the independent investigation initiated by our Board of Directors.”
