The possible signing of Cristiano Ronaldo by Atletico Madrid continues to generate a wide range of opinions and the latest to talk about this hypothetical transfer has been Pedja Mijatovic.
The former Real Madrid player and sporting director does not believe that these rumours will come to fruition.
“How will Cristiano Ronaldo end up at Atletico Madrid? I don’t think it’s going to happen,” she told El Larguero on Cadena Ser.
He also explained that it would be very strange if the Portuguese player decided to sign for one of Real Madrid‘s great rivals.
“I don’t know the situation, I don’t have any privileged information, but I think the same way, as everyone else does,” he continued.
“Among other things that have been said in the last 20 days there is the possibility of Atletico Madrid, but I don’t believe it, for many reasons.
“It would be a very strange thing to see Cristiano Ronaldo return to Madrid and play the derbies against Real Madrid.
“I would have to rub my eyes. It would be a dream, it’s not happening.”
Atleti have indicated that the operation is practically impossible, firstly, because of the club’s financial situation and secondly, because the squad already has several options in attack.
In addition, Atleti president Enrique Cerezo has ruled out any possibility of the club signing the Manchester United player.
At the presentation of Nahuel Molina, Cerezo indicated that the squad was complete with the addition of the Argentinian, despite the fact that the market is still open.
