Odell Beckham Jr‘s NFL future is once again being linked with the Buffalo Bills.
Rumours have been swirling in the last few hours after Bills legend and Hall of Fame wide receiver Andre Reed posted a photo of him and Odell Beckham Jr. in Atlantic City.
It appears the Bills legend may have been doing some informal recruiting for his old team, with a special message for the player known as OBJ.
The caption below the photo read: “What would OBJ look like in red, white and blue? He and running it back in Buffalo. Let’s just say we had a good conversation last night in Atlantic City”.
It should be noted that Andre Reed has ties to the Bills’ current organization, so he could have some influence in any potential move.
The Bills aren’t looking for a receiver, but if they were able to convince OBJ, they would certainly try to fit him into the team’s structure.
Injury concerns Odell Beckham Jr.
Beckham tore his ACL during the Super Bowl, in which he helped the Rams win the Vince Lombardi Trophy on 13 February.
In the game, in which Los Angeles beat the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20, the receiver caught two passes for 56 yards and a touchdown.
OBJ is currently recovering from that injury, so he would not return until November if his recovery continues on this path.
That would put him down to play just eight games this season, plus the playoffs if his team makes it that far and he proves to be healthy and fully recovered from that painful injury.
If OBJ goes to the Bills, he would be a luxury backup and could step in as the third outside receiver with Diggs and Davis.
The Bills would potentially go after OBJ to bolster a position where they struggled mightily last season with injuries to Emmanuel Sanders and Cole Beasley.
