Billionaire and legendary singer Beyonc is being reprimanded online due to the usage of a few words that are offensive to the ablest community, the words were used in the lyrics of her “Heated” track appearing in her new album Renaissance.
“Spazzin’ on that a**”
In the lyrics of the song she sings “Spazzin’ on that a– / spazz on that a–.” Now, the word sp*z is known to be when a person loses physical or emotional control. The word comes from the “spastic” condition, which is a muscular weakness associated with cerebral palsy.
It will get removed from the track
Queen B’s people reached out to Variety and Rolling Stone to speak on the matter, they mentioned that “The word, not used intentionally in a harmful way, will be replaced.”
This word was also used by Lizzo
When the multitalented Lizzo sang on her track “Grrrls” she also mentioned this word and she also became aware of it after the fact, to which she tweeted “Let me make one thing clear: I never want to promote derogatory language, As a Black fat woman in America, I’ve had many hurtful words used against me so I overstand (sic) the power words can have (whether intentionally or in my case, unintentionally). This is the result of me listening and taking action.
“As an influential artist, I’m dedicated to being part of the change I’ve been wanting to see in the world.”
