Jaylin White, 20, was sentenced to four years in prison for kidnapping Lady Gaga’s dogs.
The events occurred in February last year. The culprit, along with James Howard Jackson and Lafayette Shon Whaley, intercepted Ryan Fischer, the singer’s dog walker who was taking a walk with Koji, Gustav and Miss Asia near Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, with a car. The kidnappers fled with the dogs and shot and wounded the dog walker.
“You didn’t just steal my dogs that night, you stole my livelihood. I almost died that night. But the mental and emotional trauma you caused that night was far worse,” Fischer testified during the trial.
Guilty Accepts Responsibility in Kidnapping
Jaylin White accepted the conviction in exchange for having the attempted murder and conspiracy charges against him dropped.
Police believe the kidnapping did not occur because they were Lady Gaga’s dogs, but because the ‘French Bulldog‘ is a breed that can sell for thousands of dollars on the black market as it is a favorite breed of many celebrities.
